Monster, although I've yet to read that myself but I watched the anime and it was expectional good, surely the manga will be the same. Same author also wrote "Billy Bat", which is still ongoing. Both are more on the realistic side and play in the time from the 1950s up 'till close before the new millenium. Monster in Germany/Eastern Bloc, Billy Bat more in the US and Japan.
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya is more for your Mahou Shoujo X Fate/stay night needs, if you manage to pull through the sometimes really boring Slice-of-Life you can get some nice fights, and after the end of 2wei it just gets totally awesome.
Koe no Katachi for a story about bullying and love, can't wait for the movie!
Oniichan☆Control for your pervy yandere imouto needs.
Just wait a bit and I will start my Recommendation threads again. Need a few more days for sorting everything out, and then hopefully I should be able to participate normally again with ya guys. (Maybe I still have it backed-up somewhere....? I will check later.)
As I've finally managed to catch up with the JoJo-Manga, read those. After my opinion each part gets just a bit better than the one before most of the time, it's full of interesting characters and is basically a never ending story, but with much more diversity than your usual Shounen-Manga~
Then there's Sun-Ken Rock, which depicts the rise of a ...korean mafia-cartel i think? Awesome style, manly fistfights, I should start reading it again :v
Also if you haven't read Usagi Drop yet, you might want to watch the anime first. The manga is fine as well, but the end is somewhat really weird and might make watching the anime not that enjoyable^^"
Well, I think these can classified as manga, so I post some recommendation. I think a lot of people knows touhou. Those of you who not, Touhou is vertical shooter, bullet hell game, with a helluva lot of girl characters. The whole story, and characters are set around mythological creatures, and heroes. After enough time, doujins made by fans started to surface, and I don't mean hentai now. Touhou actually employs a lot of fan made doujins with deep meanings, which, by themselves too, are pretty good reads, even if you don't play touhou, as the stories can stand by themselves. It's not a bad idea to look up the characters thought on the general touhou wiki page, to know who is who. Here, I want to recommend some doujins I personally like. These are mainly introspective ones, or centered around drama.
The series of life A compilation of 4 doujins. In each one of them, one, or more characters think about life, and talking about it.
Road of recollection It's a hard read, but those of you who like Koishi and Satori Komeji, read it.
Touhou battle royale For those who like fighting, blood, and drama. Even a good read for non-touhou fans.
MariAli A story at the lovely side, but still drama. The story is about two girls loving each other.
Soga No Tojiko will not talk This is a historical one, centered around countless reference about the feudal japan. Good read for you if you like this kind of thing.
Jasper Star A story about a witch, becoming a magician.
If you guys interested, I can give more. I think this much is now enough.
