One of my recommendation is to have a Girls Und Panzer battle. By that I mean, use tanks only from the anime. We could have a couple if missions, built up in a fashion that the main team (a team made up of the Oorai school) would always have a fair chance against the enemy team. By that I mean, if this idea can fly, then we need to build teams where a Hetzer shouldn't face against a kv-2 alone for example. The reason I don't know if it's a good idea is if it's possible to make good compositions. I'm going to work on some examples later, and see if it's possible to pull it off.
Sure, we can work with that too but it will be a pain in the royal ass to try and balance that one out in WoT terms. I'll make a simple list;
Team Oarai would consist of: Versus (for example) St.Gloriana
T5 Pz.IV H 1x T6 Churchill 7
T4 Hetzer/ T3 38t 4x T5 Crusader
T2 Chi-Ro 4x T4 Matilda
T5 StuG 3G T6 Cromwell? (Not seen in films, but i remember it being mentioned somewhere)
T4 B1
T5 Chi-Nu
T7 Tiger (P)
I'm not even going to bother mentioning how unbalanced it would be against Pravda...
Came up with something while driving back to school. We could allso do a clan themed Spice & Wolf scenario called battle of the hotsprings. I'll just toss a small storyline here for it.
"While running their small inn in Nyohhira, Holo and Lawrence hear a story from a customer that mentioned an old onsen relatively close by that is rumoured to have information about the northern areas. However another onsen company has heard of this as well and doesn't want to budge at all for any kind of assisting, even if they would be paid for it if they'd find any information about it, and that they could allso keep the hot springs after it would have been found.
After watching Holo worry about it, Lawrence discussed with the wisewolf about the possibility of going into an open conflict with this company. Since it isn't a big one there's no real worry about retaliation if they'd win it, and the aftermath could be sorted out with politics and money. However anything would be possibble if we would lose this opportunity of checking this lead out. With a heavy heart, knowing that people could be killed in this Holo agreed to the plan..." Totally not canon to the storyline, but just throwing this idea out here. For all i'd know it could be a great hot spring that allso has Santa clauses secret house in there?
Sacred valley would be perfect for the final clash, as we don't know what's inside that castle...could be a nice hot spring in there Other than that, it's still open for the other maps. Allso should we lock the tank tiers for this christmas special? Everyone should have a T6 atleast by now.
Well, story could be pretty nice too. Although the question is still there what maps to use, with what tank setups, which needs work. Also, we have to think out something where tanks are there in the world of Holo, but I'm pretty sure we can think up something laughable and funny. I can even make an intro video, a 3-4 minute story with Walfas, if you help me with setting up the maps, with balanced tanks. I'm not really well versed with the tanks itself, so we could split the work. With Walfas, I could make a nice story, commentairated by our fellow clan members' voice, which would give a funny intro. I can also make cut-ins between maps. How does it sound? You primarily make the tanks setups, and give us a map, with Fail together we think up an objective on that map, and I work on the cut-ins and intro video.
That's fine, i can deal with that. Maps i'd say go something like this: Start at Abbey, Mines, Mountain pass, ending in Sacred valley. WoT doesn't allways make it easy when i want to keep the timeline atleast somewhat down with the S&W times, so some maps are automatically out due to them either being bombed to pieces or having some objects in the map that don't fit in at all with what we are doing, story wise. Of course the closest tanks to S&W times would be tiers 1-3 and even that's a qute a stretch, but i don't want to play those tanks, as there's no fun in them. Take one shot and yer allmost gone, no fun in that so mid T5-6 tanks would be right up there as far as some hitpoints and non-alpha guns which most of us allready own, which brings me to the next balance issue.
I'd personally be against anything high alpha and or insta-derp guns since i'd say most of us don't like to get shutdown instantly. Sure, it might be fun for the one doing it but for a clan event, i'd like to all of us have some silly driving around fun without worrying way too much about trading health etc. Objectives could be quite simple as most of us (considering the previous fun days) are quite trigger happy and like to come up with silly excuses just to put a round up into someone's unexpecting arse, so just a normal domination mode would work as well. I'll try to come up with some objectives as well, including safe areas on the map, as the war is between the trade houses and not the people so no fighting in towns and populated areas! All of this is still quite WiP, but when are we going to have this fun day in?
Thanks guys.

Wheee, I am here to provide some input and ideas.
The S&W thing is nice, and I might be able to provide some basic story elements for
at least the first two maps, unless ya already have something for that(for now).
Thematically, I would say that for Abbey, story would go like this:
Holo and Lawrence have been traveling already for quite some time, and while doing so,
they heard rumors of this fables hot spring Dream mentioned. After asking around on their journey,
it seems that some books in this here Abbey might provide some clues as to its whereabouts.
But, since Holo is not of the faith, and the church don't like that, some other way has
to be found to access those records. (Insert more fluff here.)
Mechanically, I would say the objective would revolve around sneaking a tank into the abbey, but since ya need to be careful and stealthy, ya cannot use the main access road to get there.
Now the problem is that somehow one team needs to defend the abbey, while the other has to get
in there somehow. I would recommend tier 4 tanks for this, as they are slower and fit in
with the whole sneaking aspect. Plus, some of them are slim and can use the side entrance.
Now, I would say that Holo team starts right in the village square (by the water),
while Holy team starts somewhere in the abbey itself.
Now, since Holy team could just block the entrance, we need to forbid that, but also give
Holo team a special force of troublemakers. These guys are allowed to access the main entrance,
and shoot and such, but are not allowed to actually enter the abbey itself.
Holo team can then use this distraction to sneak about towards the backside,
and try to get their tank in there. Not sure how this works out, but hey, I tried
For the Mines map, I would maybe do it like so:
Holo and Lawrence (of Arabia) have managed to steal the information (if they won) and
are on their way towards the (insert cardinal direction here) mountains,
through which a dangerous path lies into the hidden lands [Name].
But the church ain't to happy with ya for stealing their supposedly forbidden lore,
and so have sent a unit of Holy warriors after ya. After taking rest in a quiet mining town,
suddenly they have been surrounded, and all major roads out of town are blocked.
But there exists one way: Through the Mines.
And so begins a mad dash, for freedom, and for lovely Hot Springs.
Mechanically, have a small group stationed in the town, and a small to medium sized force
dotted around the map. Holo team wins if they can reach the Mines safely.
Also, for the first map, I would assign one tank that has to steal the documents,
and one tank that leads the distraction force. Each tank representing one Holo and one Lawrence.
For the second map, both tanks should be able to reach the Mines together, as they are
doing this journey together.
My points, more soon, when I have too much time.
Nice, new ideas
While i'm abit worried about the objectives due to reasons i posted above, but i'm pretty sure we can work something out. Been abit busy over at the week due to exams so haven't had a chance to make anything up for this yet. Basic idea was that whatever they find in abbey turns into a race to the sacred valley.
Allso, just an idea...maybe we could have them both (S&W team and Onsen company) fight it out on the abbey map, both are trying to steal it from the church itself (this wouldn't do a hole in the story if the church team wins) and this would allso do the story for the mines map that whichever one wins the other side goes and chases them. Less story creation this way, keeping it simple and if Steam's doing cutscenes it's allso less work for him. Mountain pass will be just a transfer map to the Sacred valley, got no plans for that map yet.
Tanks i'm still worried about...i might ask around that people could update their whole WoT garages to the Arsenal thread, would make it abit easier to work with as i think not all of us have low-tiers in the garage and T6 i know we all have. I don't think we can play this on T3 etc. if we try to balance fun and hitpoints. Mixed tiers would be an option, but we'd have to come up with rules to these and i'm pretty sure they would be abused just like last time.
Some updates with the balancing of tanks:
T6 max, trying to balance this around ~+-2200dpm
Derp tanks (KV-2, O-I) are out due to massive alpha
Autoloaders (STRV) are out due to clip potential
TD's are out, can't really fight with these maps and have guns that are harder to balance out, and everyone wants to drive the box anyway.
Arty...do i even need to mention them. OUT.
If the MT/HT/LT tank isn't mentioned here, it can join in.
HT's that can run, as long as they don't use these guns:
T-150: 122mm derp & 107mm
KV-85: 122mm
ARL44: 105mm
Church: 3,7I derp
Same goes for these tanks if ya want to use them:
VK 28.01: No derp
59-16: No autoloader
T-37: No autoloader (forgot that this one had it as well)
Skoda T25: No autoloader (turns the tank quite bad, i know)
VK 30.01P: No derp
Cromwell: No derp
E2 Jumbo: No derp
E8 Slim: No derp
T4/5 Scouts that can join (in no real order):
Amx ELC
VK Leopard (No autoloader!)
Luchs (No autoloader)
A-20
T-50
T-80
Chinese Stuart
Pz.38 nA
Ke-Ho
Crusader
Chaffee
Allso Scout tanks are not here to fight, but to spot enemy tanks and sneak in to special locations. As long as a scout doesn't shoot at anyone you cannot fight him (this includes ramming), but if he shoots then he's a free go. Keep this in mind if you are a LT driver, some objectives cannot even be done if ya have an itchy trigger finger...or at some cases it could save your team. It is up to the driver to decide what to do, but the consequences are clear if you open that gun up.
Abbey:
Red blocks in the map mean that ya can't access the area from there, blue areas are no-fire zones unless otherwise stated or objectives change.
Yellow arrows indicate the means of escape if stealth fails.
Lights would be preffered in teams of 3, but dunno if we can get that many guys to play. Basically one would be the one going for the scripts and the others would have to protect his tank from ramming so it doesn't get de-capped in a sense and the search would take longer. This i haver to trust to the players that they won't cheat and or lie about it though. And if the lights break the wall leading to the monastery an alarm will go out and they have to fight it out of there ending their special ability on this map from that point forward, other option is to complete the objective and sneak out of there from the same way ya came in.
After the LT's return to their startpoints, then the teams will fight it out if the other side hasn't allready lost it's tanks at that point and the winner is the team
that has tanks still up and running. If only lights remain then they will fight it out between themselves. Keep it fair and don't drown or suicide.
Mines:
Pretty much a break & run from the other team map.
Team 1 (winner of the last map) objective is to escape via the old mines, but as the mines have been blocked for a while they will have to get the mining tools
from the old warehouse in order to clear a way into the mines and into the old passing that leads to the road to the sacred valley.
Team 2 (last map's unfortunate loser) objective is to prevent the other side's escape with the sacred scripts through the mine.
Mountain pass:
The mad rush: both teams have somehow made it into the same area and know that the other one is here as well, unfortunately or fortunatedly they came out
from the different mineshafts and both know that they have to rush to the bridge due to the other side slipping that information while rushing to get away
back in the mines map. Bridge is the key here by any means necessary, get there and over it ASAP!
If you fall down from the bridge, you are out!
Sacred valley:
LT objectives are to find the sacred scrolls that dispel the field around the shrine bridge that will allow the team to make it into the secret hot spring.
You can divide your light tanks for faster searching, but this is highly risky in doing so. We still suggest that the LT's will run in a pack of 3.
MT/HT will fight it out in the meantime to prevent the other side completely controlling the map
Shrine area is inaccessible without the information, so do not enter if your team doesn't have all of the info! First one in the Secret spring wins so good luck!
-HOWEVER-
There are still people living in some areas, so DO NOT ENGAGE in the no-fire zones! This will be punished as longer search times if your team breaks
the buildings or fences around NFZ areas.
