As y all know by now, we are planning our next campaign, and it will be done all in World of Tanks. But ye and I all know that sometimes WoT isn't enough to do all we sometimes would like to do, so I wanna ask ye guys what ye think about incorporating maybe some other games into future campaigns, just so that we can expand creatively with them?
For example, an idea I had for the next campaign after this Christmas one, I was thinking of fusing WoT and Command & Conquer: Red Alert (the first one, small and free). How would ye guys feel about such things? Would ya be willing to install some older games with not too much space requirement for a day of fun, or would ya be against it for whatever reasons?
Thanks guys.

Im up for downloading it, but I think a problem arises there. I suspect most people will download and install it, but none of them then understands how the game works. So preparation has to be done by most people to be able to participate, without holding up the event.

Considering even easy enemy will wreck a RA beginner under 10 minutes (think 5, I'm being optimistic ) and there's no map with separate islands on CnCnet version, we might need to play few PvPs or Co-Ops just to give them time to learn basic controls and game mechanics, since they are clunky and somewhat strange compared to newer RTSes.
Sure, having practice games is no problem, at least that way we get to play some other games as a group as well. But Command and Conquer was juts an idea, I'm sure there is plenty of other games we can incorporate into the campaigns. This one just popped into my head because it has a map editor, and I was thinking of rebuilding some WoT maps in it.
For sure, but we have at least 3 or so months before we have another campaign. Plenty of time to organize it. And besides, if ya interested in helping to organize a campaign, recruitment for next one is still open... That's actually one of the reasons I'm trying to plan campaigns with a team.
Also Fail, doesn't Command and Conquer has a map editor? We could build our own maps that way. Internet says it has, but I'm not really sure if it's built in or fan-made.
It does indeed have a map editor, that's why I suggested this game. My plan was to rebuild some WoT maps in it, and then fight it out in small teams 4 vs. 4. Though I understand that not everyone would play it, which means that next campaign quite likely will be a multi day event. Who knows? But on the other hand, we get to play C&C a few times in the coming months so that more people can learn the basics and participate. (It's all a secret plan to get people to play old style C&C.)
I won't mind such a thing, but as stated by other, people like me need some practise:P
RA was just an example and we did try it (sorry Steam for nuking you 1st every time, was an accident). So if you need practice I'll help you with it. Or any RTS you want (if I have it on steam/origin/gog/DVD/CD). RA, or C&C in general, is way too amass&rush type of RTS to be forgiving.
