I was looking around a bit and didn't find a thread regarding LNs, so I thought I'd make one. :^)
I recently started reading my first LN and I've been enjoying it a lot. I hadn't really read any books for myself in years, only for literature classes in school. Reading books was always something I enjoyed doing a lot and I have no idea why I stopped in the first place. So after watching the Overlord anime I was super interesting in the tomb of Nazarick and I wanted to know more about it, so I decided to order the first 4 volumes of the LN. It's been a blast so far. Everything is described in so much detail and the character's thought processes are explained very well compared to the anime. Maruyama is a brilliant writer IMO. Overall would definitely recommend the Overlord LNs.
I was wondering if you guys have any experiences with LNs and possible recommendations?

Haven't read much myself. ToraDora, Zero no Tsukaima, SAO, Rakudai Kishi no Euitan, C^3 (I think I did this as well). Can't remember more of them and I'm going to be late for class so I'll edit this later.
I've read about half of the To Aru Majutsu no Index novels, but stopped around Vol.10 of NT for now - I grew tired of bingereading as the author puts out one Index novel every 3-4 months, while also writing other stuff on the side.
I tried the anohana novel, and am not sure if the bad writing is from the fantranslator or the writer himself, maybe even both... not recommended.
The guys who did the Hyouka novels on the other hand did a really great job, if you liked the anime definitely check them out. Sadly, the author doesn't publish that often, and the story seems far from finished though T^T
Oh, and "A Simple Survey" as well as "A Simple Monitoring", both from the same author as Index. I really enjoyed Survey, Monitoring was pretty gory on the other hand which was not what I was expecting after Survey, oh well.
Stuff I'll definitely read someday: Spice & Wolf, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu, Fate/Zero, Monogatari Series, Sasami-san@Ganbaranai, GATE and Jinrui wa Suita shimashita (well, if someone picks the last two up...)
