Yo guys,
As ya all know, lately there seems to be some issues whenever we play either SH or CW, so I will
have to lay down some more detailed rules for ya all, as at the moment it's not working as it should.
I will do this in two sections, one for Players, and one for Field Commanders.
Let's start with the players section:
As a player in our teams, ya expected to play for the team, and not for yerself. That means that ya do NOT decide
what ya should do, that's what we have FC's for. If yer FC says ya go there, ya go there, not somewhere else.
(Especially in SH, as we can use it to experiment with new tactics, so if ya get a strange order, just do it,
and we will learn from that. Have a bit of trust in yer FC's, they have been doing it for quite some time now.)
If ya have a good idea of something that might be useful for ya to do, quickly ask the FC if it's okay to do so.
It shouldn't take longer than a few seconds to ask. If the FC says no,
ya don't go and do it anyway, ya stay where ya are and wait for further orders.
If ya feel the need to explain yer intent in more detail, do it after battle, so the FC can digest the information,
and can start taking the extra possibility into account in the future. It's a basic learning process, and we all
have to start somewhere with it. If ya think commanding is so easy, feel free to do it yerself, and we see how ya
get on with it.
Also, during battle, we have a FC, so there is no need for other players to chime in all the time with what should be
done, as it only leads to confusion amongst everyone, and then no one knows what to do. So please, if ya are not the FC,
ya shut yer trap, unless ya asking to repeat orders or asking about something ya could do. No way around it.
Ya can apply that to general chatter as well, during battle, don't go off talking about random stuff, it does
not serve any purpose, apart from distracting.
But ye as players also should have to opportunity to voice yer concerns, so use the after battle debriefing for that.
And if ya can't follow an order for some reason, explain briefly why ya can't do so. No long story, just quick
explanation is enough.
About battle chat behavior during SH, I know that some of ya are not actually following with clan rules,
so it looks like I have to give ya all some reminders of what's cool, and what's not.

(And in case ya wondering, they are battle chats extracted directly from replays, so don't even try
to say I didn't say that.)
I'm pretty sure I don't need to explain what's wrong in some of those screenshots, do I?
Well, I better do, since it seems that some of ye do not understand what it means to show good manners.
Ye are part of YATTA, and as such, ya should be able to conduct yerselves properly when communicating with others.
I have already said in the general clan rules that I do not want this behavior from ye, and it seems that I
have been to lax with punishments, and ye are abusing my trust and good faith in ya.
So I will reiterate here:
I do not want ye guys to insult others, calling them names, telling them fuck you, calling them gay, making remarks
to Aushwitz or whatever. If ya can't talk like normal civilized people while playing with others, don't say anything.
What is the point insulting someone because he got lucky? Accept it, and move on. Ye are not grade school kids
anymore. And before ya even try to say that they do it to ya, they do it to me too, but ya just don't respond. Simple.
It's alright if we talk to each other like that (within reason), or ya do it to yer real-life friends,
but I do not want to see that stuff against some random unknowns. Ye never know when we might need their help.
Behave yerselves.
Now for the Field Commanders:
Yer permissions will be upped a bit, ye have the power to tell people to shut up when they talk too much.
Ye can also kick people from the room if they can't behave themselves, ye are the FC, and that much should be allowed.
On the other hand, I do NOT want ye to get pissy if something doesn't work out right, like missed shots, misheard orders,
accidental team hits, rammings, or whatever. Such things happen, and ya just have to deal with it.
I also don't want to hear arguments during after battle briefings, just listen to what the players have to say,
and take it in. No need to say "ya know better, ya command", there is no need for such things.
A good commander can deal with criticism, and that's the only way we get better at commanding.
When we play, I want us to preferably have a nice and relaxed environment, no need to add stress to the pressure
of trying to win games. In the end, that's all it is, though. A game, something that we use to have fun, and to relax.
I am well aware that we all started as a non-competitive clan, and have since moved up into the realms of
competitive gaming, but that doesn't mean we need to be super hardcore German seriousness all the time.
Even in CW or SH we can play relaxed and easy-going.
And having said that, we will also try to start some regular training sessions, so that we don't have to get salty
because someone messed up. More training means less mistakes. Less mistakes mean less salt. Less salt means more fun.
Simple as that.
About timings and in-between games during tournaments:
I want everyone to be ready on time, ye all know when CW or tournaments start, so I want ya to be ready at that time.
Ye know it starts in a few minutes and we start meeting, and then I hear "I just started a battle".
Why would ya do that? If everyone would be ready at the given time, we could be much more calm with the tactics,
and deciding who to bring into the match. We have more time to select tanks, talk about minor tactics adjustments,
or whatever. So be ready at the appropriate time, it ain't that hard. We even have a timer for that, in fairness.
In between rounds, ask if it's okay to play a game while we wait, don't just go off like that. And if ya are told no,
go stretch yer legs instead, browse a web page, get a drink, think about what ya could do in the next match, discuss
stuff with yer FC, whatever. Such is the life of competitive players, a bit of waiting will have to be endured.
I think that's everything, and we will have a meeting about this on Sunday (21/02/2016) after CW is done the first
and last match if time permits, and then we can talk about everything that is written here, and discuss it.
I'd like to hear yer opinions on this.
Thanks,
- Yer Commander -
