Typed a short summary since I didn't feel like retyping everything, but you'll get the gist of it.
I noticed Failure gives ranks based on time in the clan, but I think we should change that. Mainly because sometimes afk's have the same ranks as active members, which isn't really something good in my opinion. I would suggest something based on activity/participation in CW/SH/Fun days or other clan based activities.
For example:
1. Ranks based on certain tasks like recruitment officer, diplomat, etc.
2. Junior officers can be members who often participate in CW (regulars), or who help out a lot in SH, ...
3. Privates are people we can depend on if we're sometimes a member short in CW/SH, but who don't actively participate. We could also give this rank to people who are generally very active, even if they aren't into the competitive side of things (which is understandable since we are a fun clan)
4. Recruits are new people to the clan, or those who don't really do social stuff with us (which is not a very good thing since that will likely get you removed in the next clean up lol)
5. Reservists can be the afk's/alts of people if there are some (Ex. FailuresBride)
Thought? Concerns? Memes? Let me hear em down below.
Y'see, if I agree with this I'm agreeing to being kicked out of Combat Officer, but if I don't I'll be disagreeing with kicking inactive peasants out of Junior Officer...
Well we kind of discussed this in chatwing but if ya want my opinions again:
1. We kind of have that in effect allready, but due to an odd brainfart with WG's coding with things some of us FC/Comba/Intel guys are higher up the ranks only because we cannot activate/prepare clan boosters otherwise. We still do the same tasks though that what we signed up for though, and at times even more
2 & 3. As mentioned before, i can live with this change and i do kind of like the idea, allthough there can be some salt flying around due to people being demoted which i do hope that woudn't happen if we go ahead with this one. I don't mind giving Junior officer ranks at all to very active members as well, even if they don't participate in the competitive side of the clan. Privates to me are the guys who have completed their trial periods and are active/semi-active normal members in the clan, as i'd rather not have +100 day recruits in the clan as that would just look silly.
4. Kind of self-explainatory by itself, but i can agree with that one, allthough it would cause abit more work itself when we do cleanups and issue an activity warning we would allso have to demote them inside WoT as well if we'd go ahead with this. Dunno if ya can demote someone to a recruit again though?
5. I don't really have opinions about Reservists, as to me that's a rank that gives me the image of being in a clan but doesn't want to do anything in and or with the clan? Maybe that's just me. As far as alt accounts are concerned, it's not a problem at the moment but i'd rather only have one account in the clan whether it's your main or alt, as why would you need your both accounts in the same clan? But keep in mind that i'm the one who doesn't see a point in making an alt at all in the first place. And if we ever run out of spaces for people in the clan, only then this kind of becomes an issue that needs to be solved, and my suggestion to that would be that we ask the member which account he wants to drop from the clan, as you can only have one account on it.
And ya shoudn't worry about that Arf, ye have proven yourself in combat and won't be demoted at all without you requesting it first. I suppose i could joke about that being one of the benefits of being in the High-Com

I also talked about this in chatwing, although, what I primarily think, from a logical point of view, that majority of the members will not even going to realize their rank is changed. I think primary ranks should be distributed in teamspeak, and on the WG side, active members can get a maximum rank which still don't give them special privilidges (like moving boosters, landing on CW, etc), put every other member under those who's not that active, and bam.
Imo, WG should make it so the commander can decide which rank gets which priviliges, but that's not going to happen anytime soon. To be honest I don't think many people really care for their WG clan rank, it's something used by outsiders to look at clans more than anything imo. I still want to have some logic in the system though.
About the reservists, we could make a rule that if the clan ever gets full (maybe in a very distant future lol), that we either do clean-up/kick the reservists. Seems fair to me.
EDIT: Your idea about junior officers is good Dream, I don't think it's a bad thing to let members keep their rank if they are very active/known (like Arf-chan )
Just give a higher rank to everybody who do stuff. It's about 5-6 people. I think that is enough. Everything else can be worked out at the TS ranking system.
