Yaho,
Since I already gave this two people, I might as well barf this up here.
Long story short, some time ago (a few years, actually, sometime in 2012),
I started working on a little project for fun.
The end result is this crappy piece of software here for the purpose of feedback
gathering, as I might port this to a newer version of RPG Maker.
But if it's not worth it, then I won't bother.
Feedback I'm looking for is mainly for Level design and possibly some combat
feedback. Also maybe some graphical designs like spell animations.
And of course, feedback on all the different mechanics that are present in
a small testing setup.
Of course, some hoops might need to be jumped through, it worked for one person without,
and for the other it didn't.
Anyway, some stuff to download, because otherwise it won't work at all.
The game files itself, in a zip folder:
Google Drive Link 1
An (outdated) manual: Google Drive Link 2
And if the game throws an error message when ya start it up, ya also need to go here
and download the RTP and install it (it's safe, but needs an e-mail address):
Link to RTP download
Please make sure ya download the right version of the RTP:
Install the RTP, unzip the game into some folder, click the exe file, and laugh at how
terrible I am at this.
Some stats and hints and all that jazz:
- I was high every single time I worked on this, so there is no real plot, and some things
might not make sense at all, or be coherent.
- Estimated time to play is around 3 hours.
- Please read the included read me, as it has additional hints and tips.
- This is not in the read me, but due to how money works in this game, staying at the Inn
is expensive and should only be done if necessary (and even then go at night, as it will
be half price). Instead, what ya can use for basic HP healing is the faucet inside the
chief's house. Every time ya activate it, it will heal 5 HP. Use it if ya need it,
water is plentiful and free.
- The run away command might be buggy...
- Save often... no joke.
- I forgot to put options into the start menu, so ya can't change the volume until the
opening scenes have been played.
- Ya finished once ya return the coal stones to the smithy.
- I have put minimal effort into fixes before releasing this, so no balance or anything.
- Don't play hard mode or anything past it, play Normal or Easy mode.
- This is a Proof of Concept DEMO, keep that in mind.
- For Steam: ya need to redownload this, the version I gave ya is unfinishable... sorry man.
Any error messages, please tell me, and I'll try to fix it, if possible.
Thanks, and happy gaming.
